Apple in trouble
UK Judge said that HTC has not copied 4 technologies which Apple had claimed as its own. Only patent that was ruled to be valid related to Apple’s photo management software, but HTC did not infrige on it, according to court. The other three patents which declare as invalid are multi touch software, alphabet changing software and “slide to unlock a mobile phone “. Judge also added that they cannot ban imports to the UK of Taiwanese firm’s phones that are similar to their system. Apple has also cited the patent in disputes against other firms such as Samsung and Motorola.
In china Apple paid60 million US dollars to settle a dispute over ownership of the iPad name, Chinese court anounced. China is potentially a big market for Apple therefore they were taking their this dispute with Shenshen Proview Technology very seriously and finally able to resolve it.
